Job summary

Felicity Group of Holistic Care Pty Ltd in Melbourne seeks an Aged or Disability Carer to support clients in daily living, mobility, and personal care. You will work within personalised care plans to promote independence and well-being.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility and daily tasks, following dementia interventions, coordinating with therapists, and ensuring safety and dignity for residents in their own homes. A compassionate, team-focused candidate is ideal.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
• Ability to work and communicate effectively within teams
• Current full-time work rights in Australia
• Ability to develop customised care plans and assist individuals with diverse needs
• The ability to assist with everyday living tasks and provide personal care with competence
• Knowledge of safety regulations and the capacity to adhere to them to maintain a secure and encouraging environment
• Excellent time-management and organising skills
• Assist clients in building and maintaining connections with friends, family, and the larger community
• Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Aged Care, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in care planning for individuals
• Assist patients with mobility and communication needs
• Assist patients with personal care such as showering, dressing and eating
• Follow therapy plans and interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
• Provide direct support and assistance to therapists
• Assist with rehabilitation exercises and basic treatment
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition and report complaints
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, family members, and support workers for holistic care
• Assist with medication reminders as per care plans
• Support residents with daily activities and encourage social engagement
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment for residents
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and the care team
