Sigma Healthcare is seeking two Full Stack Engineers to join the IT team. You will build features for Windows and web platforms, APIs and services, with strong SQL Server expertise.

You will mentor juniors, shape architecture and drive continuous improvement across Engineering practices, working in a hybrid arrangement with the Preston office and remote options. You should have professional software development experience across full stack, strong API and database capabilities, and a solid

Qualifications

• Professional software development experience with demonstrated expertise in full stack engineering.
• Deep understanding of security best practices, including encryption, authentication, compliance frameworks and secure API design.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise-grade systems.
• Strong knowledge of web APIs and system integration patterns.
• Strong database design knowledge, including both relational and NoSQL databases, with understanding of performance optimisation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Working across Windows and web platforms, APIs, services and SQL Server, you will contribute to scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions.
• You will also help shape technical direction, mentor engineers, contribute to design and architecture decisions, and support continuous improvement across Engineering practices.
• The role requires someone who can quickly understand complex systems and business processes, work collaboratively in a changing environment, and engage directly with users and stakeholders to deliver practical, value-driven outcomes.
• Key responsibilities include: influencing architecture, technical standards and design decisions; designing and delivering new features and system enhancements; maintaining code quality, security and performance through reviews and best practice; supporting production systems through triage, defect resolution, root-cause analysis and release validation.
