Job summary

Tribus in Sydney is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a global trading and investment firm. You will build applications used by trading, quantitative research and operations teams, spanning backend services, data integration and interactive frontends.

You’ll design APIs, data pipelines and dashboards, collaborating directly with users to turn complex requirements into reliable tools for fast-moving environments. Experience with Python and modern frontend frameworks is essential.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years of experience building production software across the stack.
• Strong backend skills in Python (Java, Go, Rust accepted if proficient in Python)
• Experience with React, Vue or Angular.
• Experience designing APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain internal applications with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Develop APIs, data pipelines and services that connect trading systems, databases and market data sources.
• Build intuitive dashboards and interfaces for technical and business users.
• Work with trading, quant and operations teams to understand problems and deliver practical solutions.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, testing and engineering standards.
