Job summary

Plus Also Studios is a creative technology business based in Australia, hiring a Mid-level Full Stack Engineer to join the Data and Technology team in Melbourne or Sydney. You will own features end-to-end, shipping across frontend and backend, and work with internal users, Product Design and Digital Producers.

Move client projects onto our products, design APIs and data models, integrate AI features, and deliver features from prototype to production while maintaining quality and accessibility.

What's my job?

Located in our Melbourne or Sydney office, you’re a Full Stack Engineer in the Data and Technology team, working across both client projects and our internal suite of products.

Alongside building new features, you'll help companies move onto our products, migrating their workflows and data from their existing software and building the integrations that connect to the systems they already use.

This is a mid-level role. You've already shipped real products across the stack and you're ready to own features end to end with minimal supervision, working closely with internal users, Product Design and our Digital Producers.

A Day in the Life

How will we know you are the one?

• You have strong, hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, databases, CI/CD, auth and cloud infrastructure. You’ve built products in which AI is deeply embedded.
• Solid experience building and shipping modern web products across frontend and backend.
• Strong UX instincts and care for accessibility, performance and interface details.
• Experience building reliable AI features using tool use, structured outputs, context management and evals.
• Confidence using coding agents and AI-assisted tools while keeping code quality, tests and reviews high.
• Accurate estimating, and the judgement to flag scope creep before it gets built.
• Clear communication and strong collaboration with engineers, designers, producers and users.

Other things that would make you excel in this role

• Familiarity with some of the following would be beneficial: Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, Containers and AI Gateway, MCP servers, SQL databases, PostHog or similar product analytics, CI/CD and automated testing, AI Harnesses, Loop Engineering, and AI image, video or audio.
