Job summary

Emanate Technology in Brisbane CBD is seeking a Full Stack Developer skilled in React and TypeScript to design, build and support cloud-native applications. You will work on front-end and back-end services, RESTful APIs and AWS-based infrastructure in a hybrid 50% model.

The role requires strong experience in AWS, microservices, API development, OpenAPI, IaC and secure, scalable software practices. Minimum 5+ years in software development preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design cloud-native backend and frontend solutions.
• Familiar with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CI/CD tooling.

  Hybrid working (50%)

Description

The Full Stack Developer will design, develop, test and support modern cloud‑native applications across front‑end, back‑end, integration and infrastructure layers. The role requires strong experience in AWS services, microservices, API development, event‑driven architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop and support cloud‑native backend services and microservices.
• Design, develop and integrate RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specifications.
• Implement synchronous and asynchronous integration solutions using API and event‑driven patterns.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.
• Design and implement scalable relational and NoSQL data solutions.
• Develop secure, resilient and maintainable AWS‑based solutions.
• Implement validation, exception handling, audit logging, monitoring and observability capabilities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, quality assurance and security practices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Produce technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
• Work independently whilst collaborating effectively with technical leads, architects and delivery teams.

• Strong experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIsin AWS cloud environment.

• Experience developing microservicesand distributed systems.
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0,OIDCandJWT‑based authentication.
• Experience developing backend services using Python.

• AWS Certifications (Developer or higher).

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years software development experience.
• Minimum 2+ years AWS cloud development experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering end‑to‑end solutions across front‑end, back‑end, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and operational support.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
