Job summary

DreamIT Host in Melbourne is building a new AI-native division and seeks a mid-level developer who ships real web apps. You’ll work on WordPress sites, marketing pages, and AI-driven automation, using TypeScript/React and Node, with modern databases and CI.

Qualifications

The short version

Most roles say "AI-friendly" and mean you can use Copilot if you ask nicely. We mean the opposite.

On this team AI is how we build, not a helper we tolerate. We run agents as the primary tool, work across 20-plus sessions at once, and ship from problem to working result in days.

We're a small, tight team starting a digital division, and we want someone who wants to build that way with us.

What DreamIT is

A Melbourne-based Australian hosting and technology company. We run our own infrastructure, our own AI stack, self-hosted software and hardware, and we're moving toward our own GPU inference in Australia.

The digital division builds websites and web and mobile applications, mostly in-house, AI-native from the first commit.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain websites and web apps, including a batch of WordPress sites and our own marketing site.
• Build the automation that runs our marketing: agent pipelines for content, landing pages and lead follow-up. You wire it up, you don't have to be the marketer.
• Work across the stack: TypeScript/React, Node, a modern database, with WordPress in the mix.
• Build to convert: clean pages, sensible SEO, GA4 and tracking wired in properly.
• Work in a real team workflow: Git, branch protection, code review, CI.
• Use AI agents daily, and keep growing as the stack moves.

What we’re looking for

• A capable mid-level developer, roughly 3 to 5 years, who ships real things.
• React/TypeScript and Node, plus comfort in WordPress.
• Marketing awareness: landing pages, funnels, SEO, GA4, how a site becomes leads. Bonus if you've built or run marketing automation.
• Real AI-tooling use in your workflow, not just chatting with a model.
• Team-based Git discipline, or genuine willingness to learn it fast.
• Clear communication with non-technical clients and staff.
• Australian citizen, happy to complete a police check (some government work).
