Job summary

Quantium is seeking a Software Engineer to join the CBAiQ engineering team in Sydney. This hands-on, full-stack role covers back end, front end, and cloud work with Python services, React front ends and AWS infrastructure. You’ll use AI daily to build, learn and solve problems within a governed banking environment.

You’ll be part of a small team of engineers, contributing to product and analytics initiatives, and collaborating across the stack to deliver robust solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Full-stack delivery across back end, front end and cloud environments.
• Experience with Python services and React front ends is preferred.
• Exposure to AWS services and environments is valued.
• Ability to navigate AI-enabled tools to solve problems and improve quality.
• Collaborative mindset with initiative to contribute ideas in a team context.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain features across the stack from Python services to React front ends.
• Work with AI-assisted engineering to explore new areas and lift work quality.
• Contribute to building AI agents within governance and risk frameworks.
• Learn and operate within the governance, security and risk requirements of a major bank.
• Collaborate with a close-knit engineering group to solve problems and share ideas.
