Description:

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

The FSEP Clinical Educator will work to ensure the timely delivery of the FSEP education, training, and assessment; and support the continued growth and development of the program.

This casual role includes regional, interstate, and international travel, usually of two - three days duration. This is typically scheduled well in advance of education sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering standardised education and assessment to multidisciplinary groups of clinicians throughout metropolitan and regional Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific Region, by video, or face-to-face. NOTE: This includes regional, interstate, and international travel, usually of two - three days duration. This is typically scheduled well in advance of education sessions.
  • Liaising with the Program Head to ensure the clinical relevance of the FSEP to current research and practice.
  • Providing risk management back-up support for delivery of the education program.
  • Ongoing revision and maintenance of the suite of FSEP educational resources, in conjunction with the Program Head and FSEP team.
  • Adjusting delivery of the standardised education to meet the learning needs of each audience, as well as the risk management requirements of the institutions.


Skills and Experiences:

  • Highly developed verbal communication skills and public speaking ability for lengthy presentations.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, groups, and individuals.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and operate both independently and within a team environment.
  • Confidence and ability to operate independently while travelling and delivering education.
  • An interest in education and the value of multidisciplinary adult learning.
  • Previous experience in delivery of education preferred but not essential.
  • Credibility and an in-depth understanding of the material presented, and the professions catered to.
  • Flexibility to accommodate travel and session times at a variety of locations.
  • Valid car driver’s licence and passport to travel
