Job summary

Mitti by SafetyCulture in Sydney is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the Web Platform & Standards team. You will help consolidate frontend codebases into a single monorepo, enabling faster, safer and more consistent delivery across all web surfaces.

You'll migrate teams' code, build tooling, and documentation to make migrations repeatable, while improving day-to-day developer experience with faster CI, better pipelines and streamlined local setup.

Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript and React in production apps.
• Ability to read unfamiliar codebases.
• Familiar with frontend build and CI; willingness to automate.

Responsibilities

• Migrate frontend codebases into the new monorepo, working through them team by team
• Partner with product teams to land migrations with minimal disruption — learn their code, agree a plan, and stay with them through cutover
• Build the tooling, scripts and documentation that make migration repeatable, so teams can increasingly do it themselves
• Improve the day-to-day developer experience of the monorepo — build and continuous integration times, pipeline reliability, and local setup
• Keep migration progress and blockers visible to engineering managers and product teams
• Grow into independent ownership of a platform area over the first year
