Job summary
Agoda is seeking a Front-End Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering scalable, high-performance web apps at global scale. You’ll partner with product, design, data, and other engineers to ship customer and internal experiences.
You’ll mentor engineers, shape architecture (SSR, micro-frontends), drive CI/CD, ensure quality through reviews and testing, and guide frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, Redux). Strong leadership and hands-on frontend expertise are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience leading teams building large-scale web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.
- Strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend development.
- Strong knowledge of web performance optimization, scalability, and frontend best practices.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services through REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets.
- Strong technical and people leadership, with mentoring and coaching ability.
- Collaborate effectively with product, design, and engineering stakeholders.
- Architectural decisions across SSR, micro-frontends, and state management.
- CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment for web applications.
- Clear communication in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Guide the team in designing interfaces and workflows that surface recommendations, automation, or intelligent product enhancements in a usable and reliable way.
- Improve application quality through engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, experimentation, and continuous delivery.
- Support integration with backend services through REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, and other service interfaces.
- Drive technical decisions around performance, reliability, monitoring, and maintainability in production.
