Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to build intuitive applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse environment. You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive user experiences, write tests, and ensure quality across the stack in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires strong frontend engineering skills, familiarity with REST APIs, and the ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment with on-site days as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of front end software development/engineering with a B.S. in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with Masters; or 9 years with HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
• Work with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
• Define and interact with REST-based APIs.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues in applications and provide support.
• Write unit tests and perform quality assurance testing.

Anticipated Salary Range:$115,199.00-$140,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. • Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
• Help define and interact with REST based API’s.
• Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support.
• Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Security Clearance – A current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
• At least 5 years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
• Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly.
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification will be required in this position within 60 days of employment.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• Current Clearances: Active Top Secret clearances are a strong plus.
• Previous experience with a Data Lake/Warehouse is a plus.
