Job summary

SEEK is seeking an experienced Freight & Parcel Delivery Driver for our Sunshine Coast branch in Nambour. The role entails daily deliveries and pickups, using handheld devices, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

You should be comfortable with larger delivery vehicles, hold a current Australian C Class licence, and be organized to manage a busy run with regular customer interactions. This is a Monday–Friday daytime position with ongoing hours.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Freight & Parcel Delivery Driver to join our Sunshine Coast branch based in Nambour.

This role is suited to someone who has previous experience operating commercial vans or larger vehicles, is comfortable working independently and takes a structured, methodical approach to their day.

This is not simply a driving position. You will be responsible for managing an allocated delivery area, completing multiple deliveries and collections, scanning freight correctly and ensuring your workload is completed efficiently and accurately.

THE ROLE

Daily parcel and freight deliveries and collections within set runs on the Sunshine Coast

Monday to Friday daytime work

Regular ongoing hours

Loading and organising freight for your allocated delivery area

Using a handheld mobile computer/scanning device throughout the day

Electronic proof of delivery, scanning and consignment management

Planning and managing your workload to complete your run efficiently

Regular interaction with customers and businesses

ABOUT YOU

We are particularly interested in applicants who have previous experience driving commercial vans, delivery vehicles or larger vehicles.

You will need to be:

Confident and experienced operating larger vans or commercial vehicles

Holder of a current Australian C Class driver's licence

Comfortable using a mobile computer, PDA or handheld scanning device

Well organised and able to manage a large number of deliveries and collections

Methodical, accurate and consistent in the way you work

Able to plan your day and prioritise tasks without constant supervision

Reliable and punctual

Physically capable of undertaking parcel and freight delivery work

Professional when dealing with customers

Safety conscious and respectful of company equipment

Previous experience in courier, parcel delivery, freight, transport, multi-drop delivery or PU&D work will be highly regarded.

We are not looking for someone who simply enjoys driving. We want someone who can confidently manage a busy delivery run, stay organised, use technology correctly and maintain accuracy throughout the day.
