Job summary

Zoom Recruitment in Victoria is seeking reliable Freight Handlers and Freight Sorters to join a major transport company at their Tullamarine site. This is a hands-on role offering steady weekday hours.

You will unload, sort, scan, and palletise freight, following safety procedures. A forklift license is a bonus but not required; full working rights in Australia are essential; starts at 6:00am, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers and pallets by hand.
• Handle and sort freight by size and destination.
• Scan items with RF scanners and handheld devices.
• Sort freight by destination, route or customer.
• Load and build pallets, wrap and label freight for dispatch.
• Check freight for damage and report issues.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

About the opportunity

Zoom Recruitment is looking for reliable Freight Handlers and Freight Sorters to join one of Australia's largest transport and logistics companies at their Tullamarine site.

This is a great chance to work with a well known industry leader in a fast paced, team focused environment.

Pay and hours

• $42.67 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Consistent weekly hours with weekends off

What you'll be doing

• Unloading containers and pallets by hand
• Handling and sorting small to medium freight
• Scanning items with RF scanners and handheld devices
• Sorting freight accurately by destination, route or customer
• Loading and building pallets, and wrapping and labelling freight for dispatch
• Checking freight for damage and reporting any problems
• Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

• Reliable candidates available Monday to Friday, every week
• Switched on, with strong attention to detail
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual handling
• Able to work at a steady pace in a busy environmentA team player with a positive attitude
• Previous warehouse, freight or logistics experience is an advantage but not essential
• A forklift licence (LF) is a bonus but not required
