Job summary

AIRWAY is expanding its Melbourne operations and hiring casual Freight Coordinators to join a hands-on, fast-paced team. Immediate start, flexible casual hours and full training are offered in a growing Australian-owned company.

You will be loading/unloading air freight up to 20kg, operating forklifts if licensed, and handling documentation while following OH&S procedures. Peak season shifts are available with morning, afternoon, and night rosters.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight or warehousing preferred.
• Minimum 12 months forklift experience.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused.
• Able to lift manually when required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload air freight up to 20kg.
• Operate forklifts if licensed.
• Follow OH&S and safety procedures.
• General warehouse and freight-handling duties.
• Process basic documentation.
• Fumigation tasks (if qualified).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Loading and unloading air freight, up to 20kgs
• Operating forklifts (if licensed)
• Following all OH&S and safety procedures
• General warehouse and freight-handling duties
• Processing basic documentation
• Fumigation tasks (if qualified)

During peak season (Late August to April), a range of shifts are available across morning, afternoon, and night, with plenty of hours on offer.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in freight, warehousing, or a similar environment (preferred)
• At least 12 months forklift experience
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Able to complete manual lifting when required
• Confident handling and stacking heavy loads
• Comfortable working to a changing schedule

Licences & Requirements

• LF Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
• Current Australian driver’s licence & own transport
• Fumigation certification (preferred)
• Ability to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and police check

Employment will be subject to successful completion of a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen and police check.
