Job summary

Harper in Sydney is seeking a hands-on software engineer to work directly with enterprise teams, designing AI solutions and building production-grade agents that run in production.

You will partner with customers to identify operational problems, translate them into concrete designs, and implement integrations with APIs and cloud infrastructure. You will deploy reliable workflows and collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams.

What You'll Do

This is not traditional product engineering. You are paired directly with enterprise teams: you learn their workflows, design the AI solution, and build the agents that go into production.

• Partner with customers to find the operational problems worth solving.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering, with production systems you built and scaled.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Platform integration experience: APIs, cloud infrastructure, MCP, data flows.
• Strong technical problem-solving, and comfortable in front of customers owning an ambiguous problem.
• Excellent communication and a high-ownership mindset.
