IRL Construction is seeking a skilled carpenter for full‑time, permanent work across Melbourne commercial sites. You will perform formwork, structural carpentry and general construction duties, reading drawings and setting out works to meet project specs.

Qualifications

• Relevant carpentry qualification and/or substantial industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Job description

Full-time permanent position working primarily across Melbourne construction sites on a variety of commercial construction projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of carpentry and construction duties.

Key responsibilities

Formwork and structural carpentry

Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans

Setting out and measuring works

Construction of formwork for slabs, beams, columns and stairs

General carpentry and construction duties

Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently

Working with other trades and site personnel to achieve project requirements

About you

Relevant carpentry qualification and/or substantial industry experience

Previous experience in commercial construction and/or formwork

Ability to read and understand construction drawings
