Job summary

KPI Labour Hire is seeking qualified Formwork Carpenters for ongoing projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. You will work on substations, data centres, bridges and major industrial sites while upholding safety and quality standards.

Required are a trade qualification or proven formwork experience, 2+ years in formwork/civil construction, and a valid White Card. You will join a team delivering high-quality formwork with leading contractors across Victoria.

Qualifications

• Qualified carpenter with trade qualifications or proven formwork experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in formwork, carpentry or civil construction.
• Experience assembling formwork systems.
• Current Construction Induction (White Card).
• Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Willingness to work across various project locations in Victoria.

Responsibilities

• Erecting, setting and stripping formwork to drawings and specifications.
• Wall, column, slab, deck, beam, footing and pit formwork.
• Assembling and installing formwork panels, props and clamps.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specs.
• Delivering work safely, on time and to a high quality standard.
• Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and company policies.

FORMWORK CARPENTER

KPI Labour Hire is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join our growing team for ongoing projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work on EBA rates with leading civil and infrastructure contractors, across substations, terminal stations, data centres, bridges, pump stations and major industrial projects. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality formwork while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Erecting, setting and stripping formwork to drawings and specifications
• Wall, column, slab, deck, beam, footing and pit formwork
• Assembling and installing formwork panels, metal props, soldiers, walers, brackets and clamps
• Working with proprietary formwork systems
• Setting out, levelling, plumbing and squaring formwork prior to pour
• Assisting with concrete pouring, screeding and finishing works
• Stripping, cleaning, repairing and stacking formwork for reuse
• Performing steel fixing, conduit laying and pipe laying activities as required
• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications
• Delivering work safely, on time and to a high standard of quality
• Maintaining compliance with site safety procedures and company policies
• Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators and construction crews

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Carpenter with relevant trade qualifications, or demonstrated formwork experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in formwork, carpentry or civil construction
• Demonstrated experience assembling and installing formwork systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour
• Current Construction Induction (White Card)
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and best practices
• Willingness to work across various project locations throughout Victoria
• Experience with proprietary formwork systems is highly regarded
• Experience in steel fixing, conduit laying or pipe laying is advantageous
• Exposure to substations, terminal stations or data centre projects is highly regarded
• VESI training and plant equipment tickets are advantageous
• Willing to undergo a Medical and Police Check
