Job summary

NEX Building Group is seeking a Yard Hand for our Tomago site to support the safe movement of steel products in the factory and yard. You will operate a forklift, assist with loading trucks, and perform pick-pack tasks as part of a collaborative team.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 5:30am–1:30pm with potential overtime on Saturdays. Training lasts 3 months at $29.00/hour, then $34.03/hour ongoing, with on-site parking and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or yard setting.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic.
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy production environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move steel products within the yard and factory.
• Conduct 2-person lifts and general manual handling.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and coordinating with the team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Contribute to timely completion of tasks through teamwork.
