Kalfresh is seeking a Forklift Operator for their Kalbar facility. You will join the production team and support daily operations, ensuring timely packing and dispatch while maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced, cold environment.

Ideal candidates have High Reach forklift experience, RF scanning knowledge, and a current LF forklift licence with Australian working rights. This casual role may involve varied hours and a six-day roster to meet peak periods.

We're on the hunt for some gun forky's to assist our dynamic production team in Kalbar.

Our head office is situated in Kalbar, just 1 hour's drive from Brisbane in the beautiful Scenic Rim, with remote operations in Bowen, North Queensland.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our business as a Forklift Operator.

Reporting to our Production Manager, you will join of the production team and will be a key part of day-to-day production.

Key responsibilities & tasks include:

• Coordinate with production to ensure the packing lines have the product or packaging required to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Align with Production and Dispatch teams to ensure packed product meets logistic timelines.
• Loading and unloading of packaged or raw materials when required.
• Ensuring required standards of hygiene are at their highest level within the facility.

About You

This role would suit those who are passionate about fresh produce, continuous improvement, and being a part of a diverse team environment who are energised about what we do and where we are heading.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience operating a High Reach forklift in a warehouse environment loading and unloading trucks.
• Adaptability to varied work hours if required.
• Ability to demonstrate high level of safety awareness.
• The ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced, cold room environment.
• Capability to perform repetitious tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically.
• RF scanning experience.
• Basic familiarity with RF scanning systems is required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current driver's license, LF forklift license and full Australian working rights. A HC Truck License would also be desirable.
• A current LF forklift licence is required at the time of application.

This casual position is based at our Kalbar facility, so would ideally suit someone who lives locally or wanting a tree-change to the Scenic Rim region.

Please note we are a farming and fresh food business and have peak seasonal supply periods where we move to a six-day-a-week roster.
