Job summary

Upswing Recruitment is helping a Somerville, VIC employer in the food service sector to hire a Store Person with a Forklift LF licence and Open Car Licence. You will primarily work as a Picker, operating High Reach and Counterbalance forklifts, and occasionally Drive a Medium Rigid for supplier pickups.

Eligible candidates have at least 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience, current LF and Open Car licences, and must be physically fit to lift up to 20 kg and work in chillers/freezers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience with current LF licence.
• Must have Open Car licence and own transport.
• Physically fit for regular lifting up to 20 kg and working in chillers/freezers.

Responsibilities

• Work as Picker and operate High Reach to retrieve pallets.
• Use Counterbalance forklift to load trucks.
• Drive a Medium Rigid for supplier pickups as required.

Job description

Based in Somerville VIC, our client is a leader in the Food Service Sector. They require a Store person who holds a Forklift (LF) Licence and Open Car Licence for an immediate start.

To be considered for this role the following is required:

• 1 Year (minimum) Warehouse Experience.
• 1 Year (minimum) Forklift Experience, and Hold a Current LF & Open Car Licence.
• Physically Fit as Regular Lifting of up to 20kg is Required.
• Happy to Work in a Chiller and Freezer as Required.
• Own Vehicle and Licence.
• Willing to do a Saliva Drug Test as part of the Interview Process.
• Wiling to Provide a National Police Check.

This role will see the successful candidate work primarily as Picker, Operate a High Reach to retrieve pallets, Counterbalance to Load Trucks, and Drive a Medium Rigid for Supplier Pickups as required.

Hours and Payrate:

• Monday - Friday (Saturday work avail)
• $37.00 per hour

This will be a Temp to Perm role.
