Job summary

Transcend Consultancy Group is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator for the Altona North location, working 1:30PM to 10:00PM, Monday to Friday. The role involves operating an Electric Counterbalance forklift and performing manual handling in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will load and unload steel products, load a range of lengths, and help with general warehouse duties when not forklift operating, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Australian work rights.
• Experience operating Electric Counterbalance Forklift (essential).
• Ability to handle long-length steel products safely.
• Willingness to perform manual labour and work off forklift as required.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate an Electric Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks with steel products (4–6 metre lengths).
• Bundle and stage materials for dispatch or storage.
• Move, stack, and organise stock within the warehouse or yard.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when not operating the forklift.
• Ensure all loads are secured and handled in accordance with safety standards.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report any issues.

This role involves operating an Electric Counterbalance Forklift as well as performing manual handling duties. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both on and off the forklift in a fast-paced environment.

• Operate an Electric Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
