Job summary

CHILL is hiring for a fast-paced warehouse role in Melbourne. You will split time between pick-and-pack duties and forklift operations in a temperature-controlled setting, including cold store and freezer zones.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to keep stock moving efficiently and safely. Expect 75% of time on picking/packing and 25% on forklift tasks, with a strong focus on hazard reporting, pre-shift checks, and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LF forklift licence — this is a hard requirement
• High Reach experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack duties across the warehouse (around 75% of your shift)
• Operating a forklift for stock movement and pallet flow (around 25% of your shift) in a temperature-controlled environment — including cold store and freezer zones
• Using equipment safely around pedestrian team members — maintaining clearance distances and speed limits at all times
• Completing pre-use equipment checks before every shift
• Moving stock to pick locations, supporting loading and unloading as needed
• Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and safety concerns — before something happens, not after
• Keeping your work area clean, organised, and compliant with CHILL safety standards

The role

Think F1 pit crew.

Trucks arrive, stock needs to move, orders need to be picked and packed, and everything needs to be ready to go — fast, accurately and safely.

Pick & pack is the main game here - you'll spend roughly 75% of your time on it, with the other 25% on the forklift, keeping stock moving around the warehouse.

That means getting stock to the right place, orders packed accurately and everything ready at the dock before the driver's finished their pre-trip. You keep the warehouse moving — safely, efficiently and without the fuss.

Your job is to make everyone else's job possible.

You're not necessarily the loudest part of the operation — but pull you out of it and everyone notices pretty quickly.
