Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling Laverton site is seeking a Forklift / Mobile Plant Operator to join our metal recycling operations on a permanent day shift. You will operate multiple mobile assets, load/unload cargo, and help feed scrap metal to the shredder while maintaining a clean, safe yard.

The role includes daily machinery checks, safety compliance, and on-the-job training to expand skills across different equipment. Benefits include overtime, site allowance, and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Forklift ticket required; experience operating material handler, excavator, loader or Bobcat; scrap recycling or related sectors advantageous.
• Competency-based training provided.
• Able to work in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant – Forklift, Material Handler, Excavator, Loader or Bobcat.
• Load and unload trucks and shipping containers.
• Load scrap metal onto conveyor for processing through the shredder.
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard and operational areas.
• Conduct daily checks on mobile plant.
• Adhere to safety procedures at all times.
