Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Heidelberg West is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator / Food Production Worker for a busy food manufacturing and warehouse site. This casual role offers full-time hours 7:00am-3:06pm, Monday to Friday, with a strong chance of permanency after six months for the right candidate.

You will operate electric counterbalance forklifts, move stock, assist with production tasks, and uphold safety, quality, and teamwork in a cold storage environment.

Qualifications

• LF Forklift Licence
• 12 months forklift experience
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing or food production
• Ability to work in cold storage environments (freezer/chiller/ambient)
• Strong attention to safety
• Good communication and teamwork
• Willingness to assist across warehouse and production

Responsibilities

• Operate electric counterbalance forklifts for loading/unloading trucks
• Pick, move and replenish stock in the warehouse
• Support food production tasks including packing and ingredient prep
• Perform general warehouse duties with safety and cleanliness
• Lift up to 20 kg as required and follow QA procedures
• Collaborate to meet daily production and warehouse targets

Forklift Operator / Food Production Worker

$35.00 per hour + Super | Weekly Pay | Heidelberg West Location

Manpower is currently recruiting an experienced Forklift Operator / Food Production Worker for an established food manufacturing and warehouse operation based in Heidelberg West.

This is a casual opportunity offering full-time hours (7:00am-3:06pm, Monday to Friday) with a strong possibility of transitioning to permanent employment after 6 months for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate electric counterbalance forklifts for loading and unloading trucks
• Pick, move and replenish stock throughout the warehouse
• Perform general warehouse duties while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
• Assist with food production activities including packing, boxing and ingredient preparation
• Conduct manual handling duties involving lifting up to 20kg
• Follow quality assurance and food safety procedures
• Work collaboratively to achieve daily production and warehouse targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Minimum 12 months recent counterbalance forklift experience
• Experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or food production environment
• Ability to work in cold storage environments including freezer, chiller and ambient areas
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Willingness to assist across both warehouse and production operations as required
