Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team on a casual basis at the Sydney Depot. You will safely load, unload and move palletised freight and support freight movements with accuracy and care.

The role requires a current LF forklift licence and proven forklift operation in a freight, transport or warehouse setting, with a focus on safety, teamwork and efficient daily dispatch.

Qualifications

• Current High Risk Work Licence - LF (Forklift) is essential.
• Experience operating forklifts in freight, transport, warehouse or logistics.
• Ability to load/unload palletised freight safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and procedures.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and move palletised freight within the depot.
• Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently and safely.
• Stage, sort and scan freight ready for dispatch and delivery.
• Complete pre-start forklift inspections and report faults or maintenance.
• Handle freight to minimise damage and ensure load stability.
• Follow safe work procedures and company policies.
• Assist with freight receivals, inventory control and warehouse duties.
• Work with drivers and operations teams to ensure on-time freight movements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Deliver high standards of safety, accuracy and customer service.

Our Sydney Depot is one of our busiest transport hubs. We're looking for experienced Forklift Driver to join the team on a casual basis.

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and move palletised freight within the depot

• Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently and safely

• Stage, sort and scan freight ready for dispatch and delivery

• Complete pre-start forklift inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirements

• Accurately handle freight while minimising damage and ensuring load stability

• Follow safe work procedures, chain of responsibility requirements and company policies

• Assist with freight receivals, inventory control and general warehouse duties

• Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff and operations teams to ensure on-time freight movements

• Deliver high standards of safety, accuracy and customer service in all daily operations

What You'll Bring:

• Current High Risk Work Licence - LF (Forklift Licence) (essential)

• Demonstrated experience operating forklifts within a freight, transport, warehouse or logistics environment

• Experience loading and unloading palletised freight safely and efficiently

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures

• Ability to accurately handle, stack and move freight while minimising damage

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities

• Confidence using scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS) or freight systems (desirable)

• A reliable, professional attitude with a strong work ethic

• Previous experience in general freight, transport or logistics operations (highly regarded)

• Freezer experience highly regarded but not essential.
