They specialise in forensic inspections, defect reporting, and engineering advocacy to support insurance, legal and compliance requirements.


The Role

As a Forensic Engineering Consultant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Conduct forensic inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to identify defects, non-compliance issues, and structural failures.
  • Document inspections with detailed notes and photographic evidence.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and fact-based reports outlining findings, recommendations, and cost estimates.
  • Manage client engagements from consultation to project completion, ensuring expectations are met.
  • Maintain accurate time tracking, billing records, and project documentation.


The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful in this role you will ideally have:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience in forensic engineering, building inspections, or defect assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes, Standards, and construction practices.
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, insurers, and legal professionals.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site inspections.
