Job summary

Parkview Constructions Pty is seeking a seasoned Foreman to run day-to-day site operations on large residential or commercial projects. You will lead trades, interpret drawings, and keep the program on track while upholding safety and quality on site.

Working with the Site Manager, you’ll coordinate resources, manage materials and mentor junior team members to ensure timely delivery and compliance. A Certificate IV and prior site leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum).
• Solid Foreman experience on large residential or commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and ensure design intent.

Responsibilities

• Run daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings to set priorities and safety.
• Supervise site activities to meet specification and program.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors for quality and productivity.
• Review drawings, plans and schedules for accuracy.
• Track progress against the program and report to Site Manager.
• Identify issues early and provide practical on-site solutions.
• Maintain site records, checklists and defect lists.
• Manage materials and deliveries to keep work flowing.
• Uphold site presentation, compliance and safety at all times.
• Support junior team members and liaise with engineers and trades.

About the Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site. You'll coordinate trades, manage resources, and make sure the job runs smoothly from start to finish. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Running daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings to set priorities and ensure safe work practices.
• Supervising all site activities, ensuring work is carried out to specification and program.
• Coordinating and monitoring subcontractors to achieve consistent quality and productivity.
• Reviewing and interpreting drawings, plans and schedules.
• Tracking progress against program targets and reporting updates to the Site Manager.
• Identifying potential issues early and finding practical solutions on the ground.
• Maintaining site records, checklists and defect lists.
• Managing materials and deliveries to keep work flowing efficiently.
• Upholding site presentation, compliance and safety at all times.

You’ll also play a key role in supporting junior team members and maintaining good communication with project engineers, supervisors, and trades on site.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum).
• Solid experience as a Foreman on large residential or commercial projects (ideally $50M+).
• A strong understanding of how jobs are built — from structure through to finishes.
• The ability to read and interpret plans and ensure work meets design intent.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate trades and drive outcomes.
• A proactive, hands‐on approach with strong problem‐solving skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality control.
• Senior First Aid and/or OHS qualifications (advantageous).
