Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a Food Services Assistant for a permanent part-time AM shift in Melbourne. The role involves food prep, kitchen hygiene, and patient meal service, with duties across short order foods and dishwashing.

Applicants should hold a Food Safety Certificate HLTFSE001 and have experience in commercial kitchens; aged care experience is desirable, and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required or can be obtained.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Food Services Assistant (FSA) to join the team on a permanent part time basis on the AM shift.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the making and preparing all short order food and drinks (including modified fluids), cleaning and dishwashing patient meal trays.
• You will also be responsible for the relevant working area in accordance with the food safety plan and all production schedules and demands.
• Prepare short order food/beverages as required
• Monitor waste management
• Ensure kitchen hygiene, Food Safety and cleanliness standards are adhered too, including thorough kitchen cleaning and sanitizing
• Inform coordinators of required food stock levels
• Prepare sandwiches & salads on weekends

• Previous experience in an Aged Care environment (desirable)
