Job summary

Dhelkaya Health invites applications for two ongoing part-time Food Services Assistant positions, one 56 hours per fortnight and one 40 hours per fortnight, in regional Victoria. You will support meal preparation, plating, delivery, and ensure strict food safety standards in hospital and aged care settings.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.16 plus superannuation and salary packaging options. Pre-employment checks and vaccination policy compliance are required; Aboriginal and Torres

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation, plating, and delivery of meals and beverages.
• Ensuring meals meet presentation, dietary, and service standards.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection control.
• Cleaning and maintaining food service areas and equipment.
• Monitoring and reporting equipment issues and safety concerns.
• Following all policies, procedures, food safety standards, and OHS requirements.
• Supporting stock control and equipment tracking.
• Contributing to a positive team environment and continuous improvement activities.

Role description We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Food Services Assistant to join our team, supporting the preparation of food within the hospital and aged care facilities. Providing a practical oversight of all aspects of Food Services within the hospital and aged care facilities according to food safety laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation, plating, and delivery of meals and beverages
• Ensuring meals meet presentation, dietary, and service standards
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection control
• Cleaning and maintaining food service areas and equipment
• Monitoring and reporting equipment issues and safety concerns
• Following all policies, procedures, food safety standards, and OHS requirements
