Remuneration: $29.06 per hour plus shift allowances and 12% superannuation

Hours Per Week: 20 hours per week

Location: Canterbury Hospital, Campsie

The Opportunity

HealthShare NSW are seeking compassionate and dedicated Food Services Assistants. In this role, you will need to be available to work 20 hours per week from 16:00 – 20:00 (4pm – 8pm) on a 7 day rotating roster with no fixed days off (days off will change every month). As this role is Permanent, only permanent residents and Australian citizens are eligible to apply.

In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in our hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

  • order taking

  • meal assembly

  • meal preparation and distribution of patient meals

  • recording intake

  • dishwashing and other associated cleaning duties

  • waste management

Eligibility Requirements
  • Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description

  • Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa

  • This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines. During application, please upload the OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool with any vaccination evidence you have

  • If you are identified as a preferred candidate and are external to HealthShare NSW, you will be required to complete a physical pre-employment health assessment (at no cost to you) to confirm your ability to safely perform the duties of the role.
