Job summary

BrillianTalent is seeking an Accountant for a five-month fixed-term contract in Melbourne's northern suburbs. The role involves day-to-day finance operations, month-end close, and financial reporting for a food industry business.

You will prepare journals, reconcile balances, support AP/AR, inventory costing, BAS, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate records. Prior accounting experience and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting/finance qualifications.
• Proven experience in an Accountant or similar role.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and cost reporting.
• Support BAS preparation and other finance compliance requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies.
