Aveo's Ocean View Retirement Living in New South Wales is hiring a Food & Beverage Attendant to deliver excellent dining service, assist with food preparation, and help set up and pack down dining areas and events.

You'll work Thursday and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-3:00pm, join a friendly team, and build meaningful connections with residents while supporting a welcoming dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, people-focused attitude with genuine service passion.
• Food service or kitchen prep experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use the POS system to take orders and provide personalised service to residents.
• Serve meals and drinks during service times.
• Assist with light food preparation and plating.
• Prepare simple items such as salads and cold dishes per menu.
• Help set up and pack down events and dining spaces.
• Foster connections with residents to support a sense of community.

This is a permanent part-time position working Thursday & Friday (8:00am-4:00pm) and Saturdays & Sundays (7:00am-3:00pm)

Your Impact

• Use the POS system to take orders while providing friendly, attentive, and personalised service to residents
• Serve meals and drinks throughout service times, ensuring every dining experience is welcoming and enjoyable
• Assistwith light food preparation, including plating meals and preparing simple items such as salads
• Support the dining team with hands-on food preparation including reheating meats and vegetables, preparing cold dishes and assembling sandwiches and light meals to menu specifications
• Support the setup and pack-down of events and dining spaces,maintainingclean, organised, and inviting areas throughout the day.
• Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging

What you'll bring

• Previouscustomer service or hospitality experience is desirable, but a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment is most important
• Friendly, people-focused attitude with a genuine passion for customer service
• Previous food service or kitchen experience, including hands-on food preparation
• Strong communicationskills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents
• Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)

What we offer

• Weekday Rates: $29.98/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Saturday Rates: $44.97/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Sunday Rates: $52.47/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
