Job summary

Novotel Sydney Darling Square, part of Accor, is seeking an Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage to lead daily F&B operations across the hotel and Pumphouse venue. You will coach teams, manage guest feedback, and uphold brand standards while driving service excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional guest service, and the ability to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hotel Food & Beverage operations.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Flexible to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day Food & Beverage operations across the hotel and Pumphouse.
• Assist with rostering, stock control, ordering, inventory management and minimising wastage to control costs.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Job Description

Working alongside ourDirector of Culinary you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day F&B operations working across the hotel, conferencing and our iconic venue Pumphouse. You will lead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing guest feedback professionally, resolving concerns promptly and identifying opportunities to continuously enhance service delivery.

What you will be doing:

• Support the daily operation of all Food & Beverage operationsthrough the hotel and Pumphouse.


• Assist with controlling departmental costs by assisting with rostering, stock control, ordering, inventory management and minimising wastage.


• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

• Maintain high food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.


• Work collaboratively with all departments to ensureseamless service delivery.
