Job summary

EVT – Entertainment | Ventures | Travel invites an experienced Banquet Operations Leader to oversee daily banquet and event activities at QT Gold Coast. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service, leading a diverse team, and ensuring flawless event execution across our banquet operations.

You will manage setup, safety standards, payroll, and cost controls while coordinating with clients and chefs to meet exact client requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage operations, ideally within banquets or events.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Commitment to high quality guest service and presentation.
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily banquet and event operations to ensure smooth, high quality service.
• Lead, train, and support the banquet team to deliver consistent service standards.
• Manage event setup and pack down according to client requirements and event orders.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, chefs, and event coordinators for seamless execution.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and cost controls, including rosters and payroll.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews for banquet staff.
• Ensure accurate daily postings and complete post-event reports.
• Assist other F&B outlets when required.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience in food and beverage operations, ideally within banquets or events
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to guide, train, and support a diverse team
• A guest focused approach and commitment to delivering high quality service
• Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events smoothly
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene requirements
• Ability to manage basic cost controls, rosters, and inventory
• Professional presentation and adherence to grooming standards
• Flexibility and availability to work a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
