Job summary

Compass Group Australia is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee lounge operations on a shift basis, ensuring premium service delivery across the team.

You will act as the primary liaison with clients, lead supervisors, support rostering and stock control, and manage incidents with a strong safety mindset in a premium lounge setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Manager on Duty overseeing all lounge operations and shift service delivery.
• Serve as primary liaison between Compass Group and the client, addressing needs promptly.
• Lead supervisors and team leaders by assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Support rostering, daily operational administration and stock control.
• Manage incident escalation, guest feedback, service recovery and disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with airport safety protocols and secure lounge operations.
• Oversee end-of-shift reporting including handovers and service logs.

The Position

• Act as the Manager on Duty overseeing all lounge operations and ensuring service delivery runs smoothly across the shift
• Serve as the primary liaison between Compass Group and the client, addressing operational needs and resolving issues promptly
• Lead supervisors and team leaders by assigning tasks, monitoring performance and upholding service and presentation standards
• Support the Key Account Manager with rostering, daily operational administration and stock control requirements
• Manage incident escalation including guest feedback, service recovery and operational disruptions
• Ensure compliance with airport safety protocols and maintain secure, efficient lounge operations
• Oversee end‑of‑shift reporting including handovers, service logs and operational updates
