Job summary

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) is seeking a dedicated Freedom of Information Officer for a permanent, hybrid role in East Perth. You will support information access and records management across the department, helping respond to requests within statutory timeframes.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Coordinator Freedom of Information and delegated officers of the department perform the functions as prescribed in the Freedom of Information Act 1992.
Assisting in responses to information requests from lawyers, consultants, other government agencies and members of the public.
Ensuring that all applications made under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 are dealt within the timeframes as per the Freedom of Information legislation.
Researching and evaluating requested documents.
