Australian Department of Health Disability & Ageing – Melbourne VIC is seeking an APS Level 5 FOI Case Officer in the Freedom of Information Section. You will manage a caseload of FOI requests, operate within statutory timeframes, and support FOI triage, administration, and reporting functions.

Under supervision from APS 6 Senior FOI Case Officers or EL1, you will liaise with SES/EL2 decision makers, coordinate third-party consultations, and contribute to departmental compliance and stakeholder

Responsabilités

• Managing a caseload of FOI access requests to strict statutory timeframes.
• Liaising with SES or Executive Level 2 FOI decision makers for processing instructions and preparation of draft decisions under direction.
• Preparing and coordinating consultations with third parties.
• Ensuring knowledge and compliance with relevant frameworks, decision-making processes, guidelines and regulations.
• Developing and supporting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Responding to stakeholder emails and/or calls to the FOI Hotline.
• Publishing documents on the department’s FOI Disclosure Log.
• Contributing to the supervision and development of APS4 Administration Officer, including coaching and performance feedback.
