Job summary

MPAU Finance is seeking a Commercial Analyst based in Thomastown, Melbourne, to provide insightful financial analysis that drives strategic decisions across the FMCG business. The role sits within the finance team and focuses on delivering commercial insights, reporting, and performance metrics to support key objectives.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting or Finance with CA/CPA, strong modelling skills, and experience with Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with CA/CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in FP&A, management accounting, or analysis.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial and commercial analysis to support decision-making.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary on business performance.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Support month-end reporting and management reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced reporting.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and business case development.
• Provide recommendations to optimise profitability and cost efficiency.
