Job summary

Moonlit Oven [Demo] is seeking a friendly Cashier for a fast-paced FMCG environment in Sydney. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and answer product questions while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude.

The role requires cash handling experience, teamwork, and the ability to stand long hours. You’ll work with a climate-controlled retail setting, weekends and evenings may be required, and you’ll deliver excellent service and occasional up-sells.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Retail industry experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Working in a climate-controlled retail environment.
• Exposure to loud noises and occasionally volatile customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer their questions about products.
• Operate cash registers, scanners, and other technology to conduct transactions.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and provide excellent customer service.
• Keep the cash register area clean and organized.
• Follow all retail industry cash handling policies and procedures.
• Upsell and promote special offers, new products, or additional services.
