Waterproofing Tiling Facilities Qld Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Floor and Wall Tiler for casual work across Mackay region. You will prepare surfaces, install tiles, apply grout and ensure finishes meet high-quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold a tiling qualification or apprenticeship, have proven tiling experience, can read plans, and work safely with various tile types. You will join a team focused on quality workmanship and reliable project delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified or apprenticeship in tiling (desirable)
• Experience as Floor and Wall Tiler
• Ability to read architectural plans and specifications
• Knowledge of tile types, adhesives, grouts, waterproofing products, and installation techniques
• Strong health and safety practices in construction
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across Mackay region
• Experience with internal/external tiling in wet areas, balconies, pools, and walkways
• Experience with ceramic, porcelain, stone, and varied installation systems
• Ability to install grout and sealant and screed/bedding with falls
• Ability to install water stops and drip edge angles
• Working to plans and Australian Standards
• Stock control and liaising with Site Supervisors
• Documenting claims schedules and variations

• Cut and shape tiles to fit areas and patterns
• Install tiles on floors, walls and other surfaces using appropriate techniques
• Apply grout and sealants to complete tiling projects to a high standard
• Ensure work complies with building codes and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, managing tools and materials
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors to meet deadlines
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality meets specifications and customer expectations

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying appropriate adhesives and waterproofing treatments
• Cut and shape tiles using specialist tools to fit specific areas and patterns
• Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces using appropriate techniques and materials
• Apply grout and sealants to complete tiling projects to the highest standard
• Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, managing tools and materials efficiently
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality meets specifications and customer expectations

What we're looking for.

The Water Proofing and Wall & Floor Tiling applicant should have:

• A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in tiling or a related building trade (highly desirable)
• Proven experience as a Floor and Wall Tiler.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications
• Expert knowledge of tile types, adhesives, grouts, waterproofing products, and installation techniques
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices in the construction industry
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to job sites across the Mackay region (highly desirable).
• Experience with Internal and External tiling works across wet areas, balconies, pools, walkways etc
• Experience working on low and high rise residential projects
• Experience working with a variety of tile types ie ceramic, porcelain, stone, crazy pave etc
• Experience working with a variety of tile installation systems ie adhesive, pedestal, mechanical
• Ability to install Grout and Sealant
• Ability to install screed/bedding with falls
• Ability to install water stop and drip edge angles
• Working to plans, specifications and Australian Standards
• Ability to manage stock control, staff control and liaise onsite with Site Supervisors
• Ability to manage/document claim schedules and variations

What you'll need to succeed:

• Construction White Card
• Drivers License
• Qualified or minimum 2 years applicable industry experience
• Recent employment reference in a similar field
• Ability to work in a team environment
• High attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Self motivated and driven
• Full availability and reliability
• Valid work visa or Australian work authorisation required.
