Job summary

Maroubra Junction Early Education Centre in Maroubra NSW is seeking an Early Childhood Educator – Floater to cover 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday) across all age groups, from nursery to preschool. This floor-based role has no programming responsibilities; you will support room leaders, cover ratios, and foster warm relationships with children and families, aligning with EYLF and NQS.

The ideal candidate holds Certificate III with 3 years in long day care or Diploma with 2 years, NSW Working

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with at least 3 years in long day care.
• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with at least 2 years experience.
• Current NSW Working With Children Check.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).
• Child Protection training.

Responsibilities

• Work across nursery, toddler and preschool rooms.
• Cover room ratios and educator breaks.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Follow each room's routines and EYLF/NQS program.
• Collaborate with room leaders.
