Job summary

Early Start Australia in Canberra is seeking an Experienced Registered Assessment Psychologist to join our allied health team. You will assess new clients, provide feedback, and help families across Australia.

This part-time role offers flexibility and support for professional development within a multidisciplinary setting, focusing on children aged 0-16 and their families. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Registration with AHPRA and Psychology Board of Australia are essential.
  • Experience in solution-focused therapy and early intervention is required.
  • Ability to engage with children and families and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
  • Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct New Client Assessments including standardised and informal measures.
  • Provide timely feedback to clients and families and determine therapy needs.
  • Complete and issue reports within two weeks of assessment.
  • Develop goal-based therapy plans and measurable interventions.
  • Monitor progress, update goals, and conduct reviews and reports.
  • Identify and refer to other disciplines or group programs as appropriate.
  • Complete clinical notes within 24 hours and maintain compliant documentation.
