Job summary

Reliance Care & Support in Western Melbourne seeks a part-time Behaviour Therapist & Counsellor to join our allied health team. You will assess and support clients across the lifespan, implementing evidence-based behaviour support and counselling to help clients reach goals.

You will work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities, collaborate with psychologists and therapists, and maintain accurate progress notes and documentation while offering flexible scheduling

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in behaviour support, counselling, or related field.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioural challenges.
• Knowledge of positive behaviour support frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop positive behaviour support plans.
• Provide individual and group counselling to clients with mental health concerns.
• Work with clients presenting with challenging behaviours, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and other conditions.
• Implement evidence-based behaviour intervention strategies.
• Support clients and their families to develop coping skills and self-regulation strategies.
• Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, and other team members.
• Provide services to NDIS participants and private clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
