Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Baulkham Hills and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time or part-time options and involves home and community-based assessments.

You will set practical, life-based goals, recommend environmental modifications, and select suitable Assistive Technology to promote independence. Collaboration with families and the wider team ensures quality service.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Proven ability to work independently in a community setting.
• Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting people with disability.

Responsibilities

• Complete functional assessments with participants in their homes and community environments.
• Set meaningful, person-centred goals informed by real life routines and support needs.
• Provide recommendations for environmental modifications across home, school and work settings.
• Identify and prescribe appropriate Assistive Technology to support independence.
• Collaborate with families, support coordinators and the wider team to ensure smooth service delivery.
