Job summary

Ability Action Australia is expanding its team of Occupational Therapists to support participants across Australia. We offer full-time or part-time roles with a flexible cadence, allowing caseloads within 30 minutes of your home suburb, and support from a dedicated clinical supervisor.

You will work in a dynamic environment connected to MedHealth, with opportunities for professional development, training allowances, and career pathways within Ability Action Australia and MedHealth.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a genuine desire to make a difference.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team.
• A passion for helping people in the disability sector.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload and delivering therapeutic services in line with participant goals.
• Assessing emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical function.
• Developing evidence-based treatment goals and interventions tailored to each individual.
• Recommending assistive technology and environmental modifications for increased independence.
• Supporting participants in home, school, work, and community settings.
• Maintaining compliance with current legislation and best-practice standards.
