Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT Home Care is seeking a compassionate Home Care Worker in Inverell. This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday, with pay ranging from $36.23 to $37.68 per hour plus 99c per km and travel time.

You will assist elderly clients at home, promoting independence and quality of life in the community around Inverell. Joining Uniting means contributing to inclusive, supportive care in a leading human services organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent.
• Medication Competency Certificate is a must.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred or strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, aligning with Uniting's values.
• Provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Help at home: assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal Care: support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.
