Job summary

The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) invites applications for a Non-Emergency Patient Transport Ground Registered Nurse in Dubbo. The role delivers compassionate, safe clinical care during non-emergency ground transfers between facilities and airports, contributing to a trusted national healthcare network.

Casual opportunities provide flexibility to maintain clinical skills while supporting regional, rural and remote communities.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• ALS and BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate acute nursing experience.
• ICU and/or Emergency Department experience.
• NSW Driver License.
• Ability to obtain required clearances and mandatory checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care during patient transfers.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor clinical stability throughout transport.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration appropriately.
• Liaise with hospitals, the Operations Centre, the Aero-medical team and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Maintain patient documentation and clinical standards.
• Contribute to operational and administrative activities when required.
• Work within a highly supportive and collaborative transport healthcare team.
