Job summary

Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking a Casual Community Care Worker (Qualified) to join the Ageing Well team. You will provide high-quality in-home support that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing for older people and others in the Colac Otway region.

Key duties include personal care, domestic assistance, shopping and transport support, social engagement and respite for carers. You will work with clients to maintain daily routines in their own homes, with a focus on safety and

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or related qualification.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.
• Access to a registered, roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Personal care support, including showering and dressing.
• Domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Shopping assistance and transport support.
• Social support and community access.
• Respite support for carers and clients.
• Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes in circumstances.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting quality care delivery.
