Job summary

Visy Global Logistics Crestmead, QLD, seeks a hands-on Fleet Supervisor to lead daily transport operations for a major account. You will oversee drivers and subcontractors, optimize fleet utilisation and ensure NHVR compliance and safety standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Fleet Supervisor/Transport Supervisor or similar logistics leadership role.
• Strong understanding of transport operations and fleet management.
• Knowledge of NHVR, CoR and safety legislation.
• Experience managing drivers and subcontractors.
• Strong planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills.
• Autonomous worker with sound operational decision-making.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset and commercial awareness.
• Current driver's licence.
• Experience with SAP, TMS or WMS systems highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fleet and transport operations.
• Manage driver and subcontractor performance and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with NHVR, CoR and safety requirements.
• Coordinate scheduling, load planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor vehicle servicing, maintenance and fleet utilisation.
• Drive KPI performance, DIFOT and customer service outcomes.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage transport costs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support safety initiatives, toolbox talks and hazard reporting activities.
