Job summary

FedEx Australia is seeking a dedicated technician to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of vehicles and ground support equipment across local and regional fleets. You will diagnose faults, perform routine servicing, and ensure timely repairs while adhering to safety standards.

You will also plan preventive maintenance, keep accurate service histories, manage parts inventory, and collaborate with a team to optimise equipment performance and uptime in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience in automotive or heavy equipment (standard).
• Four years of work experience in automotive or heavy equipment (senior).
• Technical diploma or equivalent in automobile engineering is required.
• License to operate GSE vehicles is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance planning and repair of vehicles and ground support equipment (GSE).
• Diagnose faults, disassemble equipment and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and keep accurate maintenance records for each asset.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, fluids, and consumables; plan downtime and staffing.
